A worthy alternative ?

The '08 US presidential election is now only hours away and the names on everybody's minds and lips are unsurprisingly the candidates from the two major parties, the Democrat's main man Barack 'I'm not a Muslim' Obama and the Republican's man John 'that guys a Muslim' McCain , but are there any alternatives to these two old stalwarts ?It's a two party system but how about a third party I hear you cry , as Kang and Kodos would say "Go ahead throw your vote away ! "

But lets take a minute to look at the alternatives to the usual suspects this fall :

Nader/Gonzales ~ Independent

Ralph 'I'm no spoiler' Nader has been the closest thing to a real third party alternative since he first ran as a Green Party Independent in 1996 . He famously took some 97,000 thousand votes in the state of Florida in the 2000 election , a state that George W. Bush defeated Al Gore by only 537 votes involving the infamous 'hanging chad' incident . In fact all other candidates that ran in Florida got more than 537 votes

When asked by MSNBC's Tim Russert about the possibility of preventing a Democratic victory in 2008, Nader responded, "Not a chance. If the Democrats can’t landslide the Republicans this year, they ought to just wrap up, close down, and emerge in a different form."

McKinney/Clemente ~ Green Party

Now here is an interesting choice not only is Cynthia McKinney (55 from Atlanta, Georgia ) black she's also a woman , now that would really upset the good old boys on Capitol Hill these two facts alone make her my number one choice to rock the boat this election

Barr/Root ~ Libertarian Party

Bobb 'probably gay' Barr is the candidate for the United states fifth largest party and stands on a ticket of liberalism and civil rights , strangely then for a civil rights liberal he authored and sponsored the Defense of Marriage Act, a law enacted in 1996 which states that only marriages that are between a man and a woman can be federally recognized , a man so confused about what constitutes civil rights could only be a step backwards for the American and thats saying something considering the policies of the current administration

Baldwin/Castle ~ Constitution Party

Chuck 'chuck' Balwin is a reverered in the Baptist church in Pensicola, Florida and ran on the Constitution Party ticket as Vice presidential candidate in 2004 before that he was a Republican In 2000, however, Baldwin left the Republican Party on grounds that the Bush Cheney ticket was too liberal.

Baldwin strongly opposes the United Nations, income taxes, he would withdraw troops from Iraq and attempt to end illegal immigration. Emphasizing America's Christian heritage, he strongly supports the gold standard,the right to keep and bear arms,homeschooling, and pro-life legislation such as the Sanctity of Life Act.

So if you if you think George W & Co. are too soft this guys your man in '08
